Findlay Zoning Code Re-Write 2010 August 3, 2010 The City of Findlay’s zoning code is being re-written to reflect changes over the past 30 years. Findlay has endured numerous changes in the way residents live, work, shop, and enjoy the community. The new zoning code aims to adapt to the changes, protect property values, and maintain a safe and vibrant city for future generations. The re-write process started with the adoption of the Findlay Comprehensive Land Use Plan in 2007. The plan document set forth goals, visions and standards that require the city’s zoning regulations, subdivision regulations, and other documents in order to implement the plan. A committee of professionals and citizens representing the community was appointed and served to help guide the preparation of the code. For a copy of the draft or more information click here or on the red city seal above. Also available is a summary of the more significant amendments to the ordinance. We welcome your ideas and participation in this endeavor.
FLOOD QUIZ - Flooding is a certainly a subject worth taking time to prepare a reliable source of information and supporting facts. A committee of engineers, planners, response agency, service providers, and others were assembled to prepare what we believe is a fair, balanced and correct quiz. HRPC is grateful for their time and expertise about a variety of subjects. Made possible by a grant from The Community Foundation
